Our staff members speak over 30 languages, including Arabic, Bangla, French, Hindi, Nepali, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu, allowing us to support immigrant, refugee, and low-income individuals and families across New York City.

Our Programs

Adult Readiness Program: English/ESOL Classes

This program offers English language classes and is open to speakers of all languages. ESOL classes are intended for community members ages 18 and older and with English proficiency ranging from absolute beginner with no literacy to intermediate learners.

Participants should plan to attend classes four days/week for at least a few months to a year (or more).

Adult Readiness Program: Citizenship Prep Classes

This program offers civics lessons and one-on-one citizenship test prep support. It is open to speakers of all languages. Services are intended for adults with English proficiency who are preparing to apply for U.S. Citizenship.

Caregiver-Child Bonding Circle

This program offers group-based classes for caregivers with children ages 0-3, focused on caregiver-child bonding, early childhood development practices, and caregiver support. Open to Arabic- and Bangla-speaking caregivers with children ages 0-3.

This program offers 10–12-week sessions four times/year. Sessions are held on RingCentral, accompanied by one-on-one check-ins via phone.

Young Adult & Youth Program: Tutoring Services

This program offers one-on-one tutoring and academic support sessions open to youth ages 8-24.

Young Adult Youth Program: Audacious Young Women of Action (AYWA)

This program is open to female-identifying youth ages 14-24. It is a support group that provides social/emotional support, develops female empowerment, and creates pathways for college/career readiness.

Young Adult Youth Program: MENar

This program is open to male-identifying youth ages 14-24. It is a support group that provides social/emotional support, develops healthy masculinity, and creates pathways for college/career readiness.

Anti-Violence Program

This program is open to all survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. It offers support, resource navigation, and legal advocacy for survivors of domestic violence.

Legal Services Program

This program offers support with immigration applications and legal aid. Consultations are open to all. Eligibility for further legal services is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Benefits Navigation Services

This program offers support navigating enrollment in free or low-cost health insurance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, as well as benefits like Cash Assistance, Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), One Shot Deal, and Fair Fares.

Screenings are open to all. Eligibility for benefits vary but are generally dependent on immigration status and income.

Mental Health Counseling Program

This program offers individual and group-based mental health counseling services. The Mental Health program accepts cases that are low or moderate risk and clients who speak Arabic, Bangla, or Urdu or are comfortable receiving services in English.

Clients should expect to participate in weekly or bi-weekly 1-hour sessions for at least a few months.

Preventive Services

This program offers home-based family counseling and services including case management, referrals, support navigating school and medical systems, benefits enrollment, parenting sessions, problem resolution, and household support.

Services are open to all households with children under 18 years old. Participants should be willing to engage in weekly or bi-weekly contacts and home visits by a Case Planner or Therapist.
