On Sunday, March 3, 2019, AAFSC was proud to join the Youth Rally Against Hate hosted by Council Member Chaim Deutsch in Brooklyn. Elected officials joined youth to send a strong message against racism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, and all forms of bigotry.
Our Youth Program participant, Malaz Gadai, represented AAFSC by giving a personal statement against hate crimes in our city. We prioritize the leadership development of our youth and are proud of Malaz for standing in solidarity with Council Member Deutsch!
